Disabled But Capable; Our Introduction

Everyone Deserves Safe and Affordable Housing, Despite Disability

As a physically disabled adult, looking for housing in Georgia is difficult and almost impossible.  Instead, I have worked on our group, a non-profit, and approached big corporations to help financially. I am working on some form of land co. company contract and prefab housing.

After suffering a stroke at Christmas time in 2023,  I lost my housing.  And even though I am still capable of living on my own,  finding a home is not easy. I have worked through many hours of physical therapy and am ready to go home.  I am here paying $ 1006.  month for my care, the government pays the other $ 7,900 a month!

I am considering sharing a home with another Disabled But Capable person, Connie

The other person is working to get into a home for the two of us. This is Connie G. We are both looking for a small home and business to operate.

Having also suffered a stroke, and had the same difficult time finding housing.  Basically, we are both homeless, despite years of working hard.

After approaching an attorney and filing for a Registered Agent of Service, the next step is the Articles of Incorporation, the tax code necessary for a non-profit 501(c).

Along with myself and Connie is James, who is the only man in our group. He will become the person responsible for maintaining the yards.  This is James in happier times with his brother and their dates.

We are looking to purchase kit homes for those not aware, homes used to be delivered by train and unloaded on your property, along with the materials to erect it.
