I Need to Find A Home, and Quick!

 As the government shutdown continues, nursing homes are considering shutting down. That leaves me between a rock and a hard place, and I could be on the streets.  Like many other Americans, I was made dependent on a nursing home because my funds are exhausted.  This room costs $ 7900. a month of pure profit for the nursing home.  Since my medications and meals are paid for by the government.

On October 1, 2025, the federal government of the United States began a shutdown at 12:01 a.m. EDT as a result of congressional failure to pass appropriations legislation for the 2026 fiscal year, which began that day. The shutdown resulted from partisan disagreements over federal spending levels, foreign aid rescissions, and health insurance subsidies.


Once the dust settles, thousands of disabled adults and children could become wards of their home states.

Despite the Risk of Eviction From My Skilled Nursing Rehab Cemter

Day 2 -of Wearing the same clothes T   While I would love everyone to believe I am living my best life here in the Lollipop Guild. The opposite is true. At the risk of being evicted from this place and having my fundraisers stopped, I am going to tell you the real reasons you should never put a loved one in a rehab/skilled nursing health center. First, the grubbiness, just sheer grime. Nothing that some regularly mopped floors would not take care of, but the wall edges and corners of crud. Shower shoes are highly suggested. Where I am 50 to 65 asses are washed on every given day. But, I have only seen with my own eyes a shower cleaned only once in 1 year and six months. And when I say the towel used to scrub the floor was filthy enough to make you puke, I mean it, and I did. Now, since I can not afford shower shoes, I wear socks in the shower and throw them away afterwards. Nana Seeks Home

 Still here in the Nursing/Rehab center.  I woke up to three different Zombies in my room last night. Since this is a non-restraining unit, the zombies walk into other rooms, stealing belongings all the time. One my 'grandchildren's photos has been missing for weeks.  I don't care if they are eight or eighty-eight, come in my room, you will be playing the game of "fool around and find out". Things on bedside tables tend to disappear.  One morning, my phone and glasses were gone. A CNA found them in a room 7 doors down from mine, a Zombie, must have taken both together.      While I am grateful not to be sleeping under a pile of cardboard. But the Zombies here are out of control. I am still waiting and working on my GoFundMe to build a small home or pole barn.  The biggest issue I am facing is that the code o rdinances regarding property sizes, particularly concerning minimum lot sizes and building footprints, are commonly used in zoning regulation...
